Approach
Caveris was founded to help businesses manage their Information & Cybersecurity protection measures. Our Caveris ICAS solution has been developed with the underlying principle that the enforcement of security can only ever be effective when approached from a holistic perspective, including people, process and technology.
Furthermore, without structure and order the enforcement of security can only ever be haphazard at best. Caveris ICAS is a software solution that brings structure, order and oversight to the management of Information Risk and Cybersecurity, resulting in the enforcement of a consistent, repeatable and predictable level of security across the entire enterprise. The requirement to automate protection measures to counter advanced cyber-attacks is now a necessity.
At a very basic level, humans are unable to keep up with the continuous control monitoring requirements needed to protect businesses from automated robotic attacks. That’s why automation is at the heart of our solution and where all of our research and development is focused.

Michael Bohnel
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Michael, an experienced entrepreneur and security practitioner in the IT industry is the driving force behind the development and delivery of the Caveris Software solution.
Michael has held senior roles within Deutsche Bank & Swiss Bank Corporation, as well as founding and running successful technology businesses. Michael has a BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wales Institute of Science & Technology.
Ray Hartley
Co-founder & Chairman
Ray has been involved in start-ups for over 30 years, building his first company in Australia in 1987 and taking it to a listed company in 1999. He has subsequently been engaged in management buy-outs and leadership roles in a number of private companies.
Ray specialises in business management, strategy and Business Development and most recently has been Chairman of his local council.
David Tidswell
Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer
David has 26 years experience in solutions architecture and software development, as well as infrastructure management across the telecommunications and finance sectors for major enterprises.
David has in-depth knowledge in network and systems security and design. He is also experienced in automating Cybersecurity monitoring. David has BA in Computational Science and Mathematics from Sydney University.
Stephen Main
Chief Commercial Officer
Stephen has more than 20 years experience in international software development start-ups and business development, Stephen was the highest revenue earner at Telia UK (Swedish telecom) for 5 years, accounting for more than 50% of revenues annually.
Whilst at Telia, Stephen subsequently set up one of the world’s first Wholesale Telecom Business divisions which became the template for all other Telecom companies.
Andrew Ewing
Chief Financial Officer
Andrew has over 25 years' experience working as a finance director. Andrew has worked with technology start-ups since the early 2000’s.
Andrew has experience in financial planning and controlling with respect to fast paced technology companies. Andrew is a qualified FCCA accountant.
Gonz Esteves
Head of Engineering
Gonz is a full-stack developer with over 9 years of Software Engineering experience. Experienced in Application Security as well as DevOps, API Engineering, Blockchain technology, Java, PHP, Typescript and Go languages.
Gonz is currently studying for a Masters in Computing. A natural problem solver with a real passion for writing efficient, secure and well-structured code.
William Bohnel
Head of Technical Support
William is a systems administrator with over 5 years of experience working for multiple start-ups. Experienced in Operating Systems including virtualisation and container technology, William’s main focus is on system’s security including Cloud hosted systems.
William is passionate about service delivery, and has worked in Support, providing technical support to major enterprises. He has a BA in Business Studies.
